1994 Ocean Twins - For Sale
This boat is in a good condition with all systems working and ready to be launched and set sail as is! This is designer Pat Patterson's larger, ocean going version of the Heavenly Twins 26. The design is optimised for safe long distance passage making, while providing comfortable accommodations for the crew. The hull features powerful, buoyant bows that give reassuring lift in big seas and a flare outward to the deck, to give additional buoyancy as they are depressed. This same flare throws spray outward, minimising deck spray at sea. Safety, buoyancy compartments are built into the forward and aft areas of the hulls and into the forward area of both keels. The galley is in the port hull, with cooking area amidships to minimise motion at sea. There are two double berths aft with hanging lockers. Walkways to port and starboard have toilets, showers and single berths/stowage. There is a double berth across the bridgedeck forward, accessed via the starboard hull. The saloon has a large table central with comfortable seating. A tent, purpose built to shade the saloon area in tropical climes, uses the extendable whisker pole as support and helps significantly with cooling the boat. Engines are located.safely amidships in lockers under the flooring, meaning easy access internally should they need to be accessed in emergencies. This is also the ideal place for weight distribution, and contributes to the finely balanced sailing pedigree of this unusual vessel. The boat was started in 1993 and has had many adventures since. In 1996 it left the UK and sailed around the world via the Panama Canal and the Red sea. Arriving back in UK in 2005, recent sailing has been locally on the south coast. Well equipped and capable of extended voyaging, it includes various spares and charts and items that would be useful to the next owner. Still in first ownership, this is a rare find and a capable world cruiser. Viewing is available by appointment, please get in touch!
